Created in 2003, the Local Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants Network (CLAIM Network) has as its central mission to facilitate the hosting and the integration process of migrants.
Mission
CLAIM are offices/spaces for reception, information and support whose mission is to provide support throughout the reception and integration process of migrants, articulating with the various local structures, and promoting interculturality at the local level.
These services provide support and general information in several areas, such as regularisation, nationality, family reunification, housing, voluntary return, work, health, education, among other everyday issues.
The CLAIM Network also integrates specialized CLAIM, who intervene in different areas, in order to complement and solidify the integration process.
CLAIM Network – A Local Network for Proximity Service
Intending to promote proximity integration, the CLAIM result from partnerships established between the High Commission for Migration (ACM, I.P.), and municipalities, higher education institutions, or civil society organisations that, through cooperation, promote an integrated service.
Location
There are currently 155 CLAIM, distributed from north to south of the country and islands.
