Para a concessão de uma autorização de residência para voluntários, o requerente deve satisfazer as seguintes condições especiais, além das condições gerais já referidas: ∙ Ser titular de um visto de residência para participação num programa de voluntariado; ∙ Estar abrangido pelo Serviço Nacional de Saúde ou dispor de seguro de saúde; ∙ Apresentar contrato assinado com a organização responsável em Portugal pelo programa de voluntariado em que participa, que contenha: ○ Descrição e condições de realização das suas tarefas; ○ Horário; ○ Formação, quando for o caso.
To grant a residence permit to volunteers, the applicant must meet the following special conditions, besides the general conditions already mentioned:
- Hold a visa of residence to participate in a volunteering program;
- Be covered by the National Health Service or owns an health insurance;
- Present a signed contract with the responsible organization in Portugal for the volunteering program in which he takes part and that has:
- Description and condition of performance of his duties;
- Schedule;
- Training, when applicable.
Except in exceptional cases, the validity of the residence permit cannot not be over a year. The residence permit is not renewable.
These residence permits may be canceled or not renewed if the holder:
- Does not fulfill or stops fulfilling the specific conditions that have determined the concession of visa or residence permit in question; or
- Practices a subordinated professional activity when such is forbidden or outside the conditions in which it is allowed; or
- Does not succeed in the studies.
